Antioxidant serum gel formulation with a combination of secretome from mesenchymal stem cells and rosemary oil

Abstract Rosemary Oil ( Rosmarinus officinalis ) contains carnosic acid, carnosol, and rosmarinic which are sources of active antioxidants. The Secretome MSC has growth factors such as antioxidants that protect HDFs. This study aimed to obtain a gel formulation from secretome combinates with test its effect an antioxidant. antioxidant, propylene glycol humectants, Carbomer 940 gelling agent, triethanolamine alkalizing DMDM Hydantoin preservative, aquadest. evaluation tests preparations include organoleptic tests, homogeneity, viscosity, pH, dispersion, syneresis, stability. Antioxidant activity using DPPH method (1.1-Diphenyl-2 Picrylhydrazil). results show the was in form thick gel, cloudy white yellowish, having characteristic smell like rosemary plants. It also ease use, is homogeneous, cooling sensation, good solubility during washing. average pH value 6.39; viscosity <30,000 cp; dispersion 5.71 cm. provide antioxidant activity, indicated by IC50 value. Gel 5% 2.5% oil had 11.4501 μg/ml. Based on these results, it can be concluded formulations were proven have showed increase formula added (P <0.05)
